In the past year, the proportion of online Canadian adults who are optimistic about the economy has increased more than five-fold from 10% to 55%. More than one-third say their personal financial situation has worsened in that time span. Although the gloomy sentiment seems to be behind them, most Canadians have changed their behavior and attitude as a result of the crisis: One in three is now using credit less, and one in four is using cash more.
